Background for Learning Opportunity

Tools for Professional Learning in a Blended Learning Environment 

In a time of extreme change and unsettled circumstances  it is important to take time to hear how selected districts used research-based methods to improve teaching experiences and practices leading to sustainable improved outcomes for all students.

Shared through the power of story,  this  series will model an effective technique for promoting change and open a broader discussion of how to support staff and students   in area of effective and powerful virtual learning.    This series will use the lens of attitudes,  beliefs, and actions that will support improved equity and collective professional learning.   Virtual Learning tools and strategies  that will move learning forward for both students and the adults who design learning will be at the core of the learning.

 

Developing A Framework  for Professional Learning in a Blended Learning Environment

This series led by Frederick Brown and a team of BC Educators  of Learning Forward will support teachers and administrators in ways  to adapt quality Professional learning into a blended Learning Environment. Each of the three sessions will be facilitated by a BC Learning Facilitator.

These three session will explore ways to develop online learning designs and strategies in a variety of contexts.

There will be time both in whole group and break out sessions to reflect on your experience,  learn how you might translate this work with colleagues and students and then have time to follow up with your group on how you did adapt your practice.
