"The culture in BC is ripe for system innovation and transformation, as evidenced by the excellent curriculum and forward thinking accountability frameworks. Next steps to the transformation agenda are building the agency and capacity of all rights holders, (students, teachers, school leaders, parents and system leaders) to listen, design, and action new ways forward. These processes of listening, responding and acting will surface the assumptions and beliefs that are held in the system and at the school level, allowing rights holders to address the tensions and barriers to all students succeeding. Developing common values and a shared language around what success might look like will benefit the system from the inside-out!"
