Indigenous Education belongs to Everyone Part 2: Walking Forward Together
Event Details
INDIGENOUS EDUCATION BELONGS TO EVERYONE
WALKING FORWARD TOGETHER
WHEN: TUESDAY FEBRUARY 21, 2023
TIME: 3:30-5:30
Join Learning Forward B.C. for a two hour session facilitated by Denise Augustine, Superintendent of Indigenous Education, Ministry of Education and Child Care, and Brad Baker, Associate Superintendent of Indigenous Education, Ministry of Education and Child Care, as they continue the conversation started in October at the introductory session.
We will hear from a number of diverse voices, including students and teachers, as people reflect on their own personal experiences and engage in rich conversations that will help us move forward together.
Denise Augustine and her guest Brad Baker both use story to bring the work of reconciliation to life. Rich conversations that flow across a variety of roles and responsibilities will provide an opportunity for teachers, school and district leaders to consider how they continue their professional and personal journey supporting the work of indigenous education and reconciliation.
A third session of the series will take place on April 18th, 2023.
