Good News for Professional Learning BC

Learning Forward B.C. is pleased to announce that they are the recipients of the Learning Forward Foundation’s 2021 Dale Hair Affiliate Grant.

This grant is good news for BC Educators Learning Forward as they prepare to  increase their capacity and outreach for Professional Learning throughout British Columbia in the 2021-2022 School Calendar.

The grant will be  used to support the work of our  affiliate, helping them advance Learning Forward BC’s mission and vision of professional learning.

 

 

Learning Forward B.C. will use the grant to support our new Board members learn more about the current research projects  of Learning Forward and their leadership in supporting professional learning, strengthening current work for Learning Forward BC Leadership team  in the process.

Introduction to the revised Learning Forward Standards  and their connections to current research during a recent series with Fred Brown on designing and facilitating virtual learning has been a huge impetus for Learning Forward B.C. as we develop plans for next school year including reinforcing our current work on inclusion, diversity and equity through a series of webinars, thought leaders, and other professional learning opportunities. We see this grant as an opportunity to meet our affiliate goals for Professional Learning throughout BC and promote the work of Learning Forward with new members of our Board, our education partner groups, and our growing number of Learning Forward B.C. members, educators who have taken advantage of our webinar series and other online offerings throughout the 2020-2021 school year.
